SKARDU: Rescuers have recovered the physique of famend climber Nirmal Purja, who was killed together with 9 staff members in a strong avalanche on the Broad Peak mountain this week, the Alpine Membership of Pakistan mentioned on Sunday.

The avalanche struck on Thursday, reducing off contact with the 10-member worldwide expedition led by Purja, a 43-year-old British-Nepali climber, on Broad Peak.

His expedition firm confirmed on Saturday that no staff members had survived.

Authorities mentioned the stays of three climbers — an Omani girl, a Nepali man and an American girl — had been recovered and flown to the town of Skardu on Friday.
