Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and former skipper Babar Azam have moved up within the Worldwide Cricket Council’s (ICC) Check batting rankings following the most recent reshuffle.
Within the Check batting rankings, Rizwan and Babar every moved up one place to twentieth and twenty first, respectively. Center-order batters Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha retained their positions and stay twenty fifth and twenty seventh within the rankings.
Pakistan Check captain Shan Masood slipped one place to forty fourth with 558 ranking factors, whereas opener Imam-ul-Haq held on to 52nd place with 522 factors.
Abdullah Shafique, who final featured in Check cricket towards South Africa in 2025, moved up one place to 54th with 517 factors. Younger batter Abdullah Fazal, in the meantime, dropped one place to 97th.
England duo Joe Root and Harry Brook proceed to steer the Check batting charts, with Root occupying the highest spot and Brook sitting second. Australia’s Travis Head stays third.
Within the Check bowling rankings, Pakistan spinner Noman Ali retained his seventh place with 817 ranking factors. Quick bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Abbas each gained one place to maneuver to twenty fifth and twenty seventh respectively.
Spinner Sajid Khan stayed at thirty first, whereas Hasan Ali is ranked thirty eighth and Khurram Shahzad forty sixth. Spinner Asif Afridi and all-rounder Salman Ali Agha slipped two and one locations respectively to 83rd and ninetieth.
India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to steer the Check bowling rankings. Australia’s Mitchell Starc stays second, whereas Australian captain Pat Cummins has climbed to 3rd place, overtaking New Zealand pacer Matt Henry.
