For the primary time, the Pakistan ladies’s soccer staff will straight take part in a Fifa occasion, marking a big milestone for the nation’s sporting historical past.

The participation comes underneath the Fifa Soccer Sequence — an initiative launched by Fifa President Gianni Infantino. The Sequence consists of nationwide groups that don’t qualify for the Fifa World Cup, which is held each 4 years.

President of the Pakistan Soccer Federation (PFF), Mohsin Gilani, expressed his delight at Pakistan’s inclusion within the Ladies’s Fifa Sequence.

He described it as a “historic moment” for Pakistan soccer, noting that whereas the nationwide staff has competed in Fifa qualifying rounds previously, this would be the first time Pakistan straight takes half in a Fifa occasion. He mentioned he’s deeply grateful to the Fifa President for the chance.

Gilani added that the occasion will encourage younger footballers throughout the nation, saying that seeing Pakistan’s flag fly at a Fifa occasion will likely be a serious achievement for him as PFF President. He mentioned the event has renewed hope for a “bright and promising future” for soccer in Pakistan, calling it the start of higher progress forward.

Pakistan’s ladies’s staff at the moment stands at 154 within the Fifa Ladies’s World Rating out of 198 groups. For the 2026 Ladies’s Fifa Sequence, Fifa has positioned Pakistan within the Ivory Coast group, although the match schedule — together with opponents and dates — has but to be introduced.
