The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday mentioned that buyers expressed curiosity in buying possession rights of two Pakistan Tremendous League (PSL) franchises throughout a roadshow at Lord’s Cricket Floor in London.
The roadshow helped the marquee league appeal to “unprecedented attention” on the iconic venue, broadly considered the house of cricket, mentioned PCB in an announcement, including numerous buyers attended and expressed curiosity within the two PSL franchises up on the market.
“PSL 11 has taken flight to new heights, capturing unprecedented attention in the home of cricket,” the PCB mentioned in an announcement.
“For the first time in history, a highly successful PSL roadshow was organised at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
“A lot of buyers attended the London roadshow and expressed eager curiosity in buying two new groups.”
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the investors’ “strong” interest as a milestone that wasn’t only a positive development for the league but also an honour for the country.
“The robust curiosity in buying two PSL 11 groups is extraordinarily constructive and inspiring,” mentioned Naqvi.
The PSL, which started in 2016 with 5 franchises, is ready for additional growth with the addition of two new groups within the upcoming eleventh version, set to be performed subsequent 12 months.
With the upcoming additions, the PSL will bear its first main restructuring in seven years, bringing the whole variety of franchises to eight.
