Jahanara Hassan celebrates after successful gold at the Grand Canaria, Spain Judo Cup. 

Jahanara Hassan, a gifted nine-and-a-half-year-old woman from Lahore presently residing in London, stole the highlight on the Grand Canaria, Spain Judo Cup.

Competing in opposition to elite judo golf equipment from Spain, Portugal, and the UK, she delivered a stellar efficiency by successful two gold medals — one in her weight class and one other in the next class.

Jahanara, with Mikes Judo Membership and her coach Sensei Kelly, made headlines with an exhilarating win over one among Spain’s nationwide champions utilizing her signature transfer “Boom”, named in honour of her sporting idol, Shahid Afridi.

She was the one athlete on the occasion to obtain two gold medals, making her achievement all of the extra outstanding.

The match was a part of the 4th Judo Membership AKARI Stage, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from July 17 to twenty. It was organised in collaboration with the Canary Islands Judo Federation, the DA, and the Municipal Sports activities Institute of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Metropolis Council.

The medals have been awarded by none aside from Hidayat Heydarov — a Judo World Champion, four-time European Champion, and Olympic gold medallist — who congratulated the younger prodigy throughout the ceremony.

“She became good through a lot of hard work, discipline, consistent training, and her love for martial arts,” her father, Hamza Hassan, advised Geo.television, including that she hopes to go skilled when she grows up.

“Her inspiration is her parents. She gets her strength from her father and her dedication from her mother, Zahra Shah.”

Jahanara now aspires to signify Pakistan on the World Olympics and hopes her success will encourage younger ladies internationally to pursue sports activities and realise their full potential.
