Pakistani prodigies dominate US Junior Open Squash Championships

In a second of nationwide delight, Mahnoor Ali and Harmas Raja, two rising stars of Pakistani squash, achieved historic victories on the US Junior Open Squash Championships held on the Arlen Specter US Squash Heart in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Their wins mark a big milestone for Pakistan on the worldwide squash stage.

Mahnoor Ali turned the primary Pakistani feminine participant to win the Ladies’ Underneath-13 title on the US Junior Open. Seeded third, Mahnoor delivered a spectacular efficiency within the closing, defeating Egypt’s top-seed Linda Elsayed 3-1 with scores of 11-8, 12-10, 5-11, and 11-6.

En path to her historic victory, Mahnoor showcased her dominance within the semi-finals with a commanding 3-1 win over Xyan Yin of Hong Kong.

Sharing her feelings on Instagram, Mahnoor known as it a “dream come true,” saying, “This victory is not just mine—it’s a win for Pakistan squash and for all young girls striving to make their mark. I hope this inspires others to believe in their dreams and work hard to achieve them.”

She credited her success to her coaches, Adil Atlas Khan in Pakistan and Kama Khan on the K2 Squash Membership within the USA, in addition to her sponsor, the BARD (Bilquis and Abdul Razzak Dawood) Basis, for his or her unwavering assist.

Within the Boys’ Underneath-11 class, Harmas Raja showcased distinctive talent, clinching the title with a straight-sets victory over the USA’s Archibald Anolik (11-8, 11-8, 11-8). 

Harmas maintained exceptional type all through the event, together with a dominant 3-0 win in opposition to the USA’s Lukas Daly within the semi-finals.
