Board of Management for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Vice President Rajeev Shukla has hailed the result of the talks between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Worldwide Cricket Council (ICC) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) over the T20 World Cup 2026.

“I am delighted to see the outcome of the deliberations [in Lahore],” Shukla mentioned whereas talking to the Indian media on Tuesday.

His remarks discuss with Islamabad’s announcement of permitting the Inexperienced Shirts to play their scheduled ICC Males’s T20 World Cup match towards India on February 15 in Colombo. 

Pakistan had earlier determined to not play towards arch-rival India in solidarity with Bangladesh, who had been kicked out of the match after it refused to journey to India, citing safety considerations.

After Pakistan’s announcement, the ICC’s deputy chairman travelled to Lahore on Sunday to debate the state of affairs with the PCB chief in a gathering attended by the BCB president.

Nevertheless, in a press release on Monday, the federal government mentioned that the choice to subject the nationwide facet towards India within the match was made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after being briefed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi concerning the outcomes of high-level deliberations held between the PCB, the ICC and the BCB.
