Gillespie ‘abused’ for questioning Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup exclusion

Former Australia all-rounder Jason Gillespie deleted a publish on X after being “abused” for questioning the ICC’s resolution to switch Bangladesh within the ICC Males’s T20 World Cup.

Gillespie had taken to social media to hunt readability over the ICC’s resolution, asking why Bangladesh weren’t permitted to play their matches exterior India, much like preparations made in earlier ICC tournaments.

Nonetheless, the 50-year-old later deleted the publish, sparking hypothesis amongst followers.

“Has there been an explanation from the ICC why Bangladesh could not play their games outside of India?” Gillespie wrote within the now-deleted publish on X.

Scotland will start their T20 World Cup 2026 marketing campaign towards the West Indies on February 7 in Kolkata. They will even face Italy on February 9 and England on February 14 within the group stage.
