Pakistan’s Shahzeb Khan wins gold in Asia Open Taekwondo Championship

INDONESIA: Pakistan’s Shahzeb Khan gained the gold medal by defeating Calamba of the Philippines within the closing of the -54kg weight class on the Asia Open Khyurogi Taekwondo Championship.

Within the first spherical, Calamba scored 11 factors and Shahzeb managed six. 

Within the second spherical, Shahzeb performed brilliantly and gained by 10-3 after which gained the third spherical 18-0 to win Pakistan’s first gold medal within the occasion.

Earlier, Shahzeb certified for the ultimate by defeating Hidayat Tomakaka of Indonesia 12-14, 16-14 and 22-0 within the semi-final.

Within the +87 kg weight class closing, Kablan of Kazakhstan gained the gold medal by defeating Hamza Saeed of Pakistan by a margin of 5-1 and 4-4 factors.

In the meantime, Pakistan Olympic Affiliation President Syed Abid Qadri, Secretary Normal Khalid Mahmood, Chairperson Particular Olympics Pakistan Ronak Lakhani, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation President Col Waseem Janjua and CEO Omar Saeed congratulated Shahzeb for successful gold and Hamza Saeed for successful silver medals for Pakistan.
