South Africa received the toss and opted to bowl first towards India within the Girls’s World Cup ultimate in Mumbai on Sunday.
Rain and a moist outfield had delayed the toss for ultimate, with each groups searching for their first title within the 50-over event.
Toss was initially delayed by half-hour to three:00pm (0930 GMT) with the beginning revised to three:30 pm, however extra drizzle pushed that again once more to 4:00pm.
India have been runners-up twice, in 2005 and 2017, and reached their third ultimate after beating seven-time champions Australia in a thriller.
South Africa’s girls are of their first ODI World Cup ultimate after they beat four-time winners England within the different semi-final.
