Farhan Yousaf to steer Pakistan at U19 World Cup 2026, Zimbabwe tri-series

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday introduced Pakistan’s squad for the ICC U19 World Cup 2026 in addition to the upcoming tri-series in Zimbabwe.

Confirming the 15-member squad, the PCB mentioned that Farhan Yousaf will lead the group.

The tri-series that includes Afghanistan, Pakistan and hosts Zimbabwe, might be performed from December 25 to January 6. It’s going to function preparation for the ICC U19 World Cup, which can happen in Namibia and Zimbabwe from January 15 to February 6. Each tournaments might be contested within the 50-over format.

Pakistan U19 are at the moment competing within the ACC U19 Asia Cup in Dubai and can face Bangladesh within the semi-final on Friday, 19 December.

The ultimate of the eight-team match is scheduled for December 21 (Sunday) in Dubai.

The one change to the 15-member squad from the Asia Cup is the inclusion of right-arm quick bowler Umar Zaib, who replaces left-arm spinner Mohammad Huzaifa for the tri-series and the ICC U19 World Cup.

Pakistan U19 will play a minimal of 4 matches within the tri-series, with the highest two groups qualifying for the ultimate on January 6.
