LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday confirmed that the Tri-Nation T20I collection will happen as per schedule, regardless of Afghanistan pulling out of the event amid the latest tensions between the 2 neighbouring nations.

The spokesperson added that the ultimate determination can be introduced quickly.

Sources aware of the developments indicated that the PCB has approached the Zimbabwe Cricket Board as a possible substitute for Afghanistan. The tri-nation collection was initially slated to characteristic Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, with the ultimate scheduled at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
