He started his profession as a junior sub-editor and rose to prominence within the Eighties, when famous journalist Nadir Shah Adil launched him to cricket author Munir Hussain, who supplied him a place at his cricket journal. It was right here that Sufi made his mark with distinctive writing and high-profile interviews.
Through the years, he carried out interviews with a few of Pakistan’s best cricketers, together with Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis, Moin Khan, Rashid Latif, and Inzamam-ul-Haq.
