Pakistan thrash Japan to storm into netball championship remaining

JEONJU: Pakistan stormed into the ultimate of the Asian Youth Women Netball Championship 2025 with a commanding 64-39 win over Japan within the semifinal performed on the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium, Jeonju-si, South Korea, on Thursday.

The Inexperienced Shirts asserted management early, racing to a 21-7 lead within the first quarter. 

They maintained their grip on the sport, extending the rating to 34-19 by halftime, 42-28 after the third quarter, and shutting out the match with a dominant 64-39 end.

Key gamers together with Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Amani, Parisa and Farah Rasheed delivered standout performances, contributing each defensively and offensively to safe the win.

Chairman of the Pakistan Netball Federation Mudassar Arian, President Sameen Malik, and Secretary Common Muhammad Riaz congratulated the staff on their outstanding efficiency and praised the gamers for securing a spot within the remaining.

The ultimate is scheduled to happen on Friday. Pakistan will now face the winner of the second semifinal between Maldives and Chinese language Taipei.

The Asian Youth Women Netball Championship 2025, organised beneath the auspices of the Asian Netball Federation, is being held from June 27 to July 4 in South Korea.

It’s pertinent to say that Pakistan started their marketing campaign in dominant trend, outclassing Saudi Arabia with a 71-15 victory. Of their second match, the Inexperienced Shirts continued their spectacular run by securing a 56-32 win over Chinese language Taipei.

Within the third group-stage match, Pakistan overwhelmed South Korea with a commanding 91-6 scoreline. They adopted it up with a dominant 79-39 victory over Japan within the fourth match.

Pakistan on Tuesday booked their place within the semifinals with a hard-fought 49-39 win over the Maldives of their fifth group-stage match, topping Group B.
