ISLAMABAD: Because the cricket-loving nation braces for the mega occasion, ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the federal authorities has determined to deploy military and Rangers personnel to offer foolproof safety through the matches.
In line with authorities sources, the approval for the deployment of Pakistan Military and Rangers has been obtained from the federal cupboard. The military and Rangers can be deployed beneath Article 245 of the Structure and the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
The ICC Champions Trophy is ready to start on February 19 and proceed until March 9.
For the unversed, hosts and defending champions Pakistan will kick off their Champions Trophy 2025 marketing campaign on the newly revamped Nationwide Financial institution Stadium in Karachi through the curtain-raiser in opposition to New Zealand on February 19.
